bioinfusion review

Today I am reviewing the bioinfusion shampoo and conditioner. I actually bought this shampoo and conditioner at my local Walgreens. I was pressed for time and  thought I would run in and grab something quickly. I admit most of the products I use or like to use have to smell good but this one didn’t. The conditioner does smell better than the shampoo though. I have used this product for about 6 or 7 washes now. I just want to say, I do not like this shampoo or conditioner.  Let me start with the shampoo. It reads on the bottle that it is an active botanical blend infused with moisturizing wheat germ oil and lemon grass. It also reads that the gentle cleansing formula naturally restores moisture and shine to dry or damaged hair. It is safe for color treated hair. It is sulfate free and paraben free. So immediately after using the shampoo my hair felt terribly dry. It was practically matted to my head. It was very difficult to get it all out because I couldn’t really separate my hair or even run my fingers through it to get to my scalp. Yes, it was that bad. I wouldn’t have been able to brush through my hair if I was only using the shampoo. I give the shampoo a thumbs down. Now for the conditioner. As I said it does smell better than the shampoo. I consider that a huge plus for the conditioner. The conditioner reads that it is fortified with nourishing avocado oil and antioxidant rich grape seed oil to help add shine and moisture to dry parched hair. It also reads that it provides ultra hydration and helps improve hair strength and that it is safe for color treated hair. It is pretty thick and creamy which I also think is good. It did feel nice when I put it on my wet hair although it did feel a bit oily. The oily part of course did not affect my hair. It did make my shower slippery and I have a no slip shower. I did leave the conditioner on for a few minutes because of how dry my hair was from the shampoo. It did make my wet hair feel soft before I rinsed it out. After rinsing I really didn’t feel like it hydrated my hair at all. I towel dried my hair and there was no existence of that initial softness that I felt.  I also have not noticed any strengthening in my hair.

The cost of the shampoo was $7.99 at my local Walgreens.

The cost of the conditioner was $7.99 at my local Walgreens.

Based on my experience I do not recommend the bioinfusion shampoo and conditioner. I have used many other shampoos and conditioners that I have paid a lot less for and have had better results.

Two thumbs down on bioinfusion shampoo and conditioner.

Note: I was not paid for this review. This is my opinion and experience.

I wish I read your review before using this awful product..all what you described happened to me.. I just don’t what I am going to do with the rest of the bottles!

I’m sorry your experience with this product was awful too. I always keep my receipts because I know after 5-7 washes if something works well for me. If I find that it does not work well with my hair, I will return it. Most places around me take returns on shampoos and conditioners. Thank goodness! I always ask just to make sure. :)

Very glad to hear that I am not the only one. I think I am going to try the other brands. I think someone mentioned the keratin brand worked well for them. I’m a little nervous about it since I had terrible luck previously. Thanks so much for sharing your comment! :)

Hi Ashley. I am really glad that the product worked for you! Someone did mention trying another kind. I might do so just to see if I have better luck. Sorry for my late response.

I have this brand of shampoo also, but i bought the keratin one and I loved it! It makes my hair very smooth, frizz-free, shiny and it smells really good too! You should def try the keratin one instead.

I came across this review when I was trying to do some research on the product and was wondering if you understood what sulfate and paraben free actually mean? Based on your review, I am expecting the answer is no. I think the issue is that the consumer is not educated on the meaning and benefits of sulfate/paraben free. It is almost like buying a car. If an automobile manufacturer comes out with a car that is run on alternative energy, it is not going to run the same as a car operating on gasoline.

Sulfate free means that the product is using cleansing agents that are not as harsh as sulfate ingredients. For colored hair, this means the color can last longer and stay more vibrant. It also is not as harsh for the environment. Since most waste drains into the ocean, the product is helping organisms that live in water.

It is important that we all do our homework before using a product. This will help us better understand what we are using.

Thanks so much for your reply. I certainly understand the what sulfate and paraben free actually mean. The only good thing about the product. :)

I think if your hair was Keratin treated you’d understand how amazing this shampoo & conditioner is. I recently purchased the shampoo and conditioner for my Keratin treated hair, while on a holiday in the US. They are great. I can only use Sulfate free products now that I’ve had my hair treated with Keratin.

The Bioinfusions products are really maintaining my style & I’m delighted! The price of the product is also amazing. I live in Australia and am trying to figure out how to import it here, so I can continue to use it!
People tell me on a daily basic how shiny and healthy my hair looks.

Keratin changed the condition of my hair a lot. I think if I had not altered the condition of my natural hair, these products would seem very unusual when compared to normal consumer products.

If your hair does not require this product then of course you can’t experience the true benefits. It’s like reviewing a cough syrup when you don’t have a cough.

I personally highly recommend these products and am responding so people that require a sulfate free product understand how good this one is.

Thank you Denise for your comment. I am glad to hear that the product worked so well for you. I was hoping for a condition change in my hair as well. I do agree that it was a good price. I have paid much more. :) I appreciate your comment. Sorry so late with my response.
